Day 29: What to do When it's Hard to Listen

The weekend is here, and I should be energized!  Instead I am drained and weary, and longing for rest.  Has it been a long week
for you as well?

Then I pray that the words I utter to our Lord
will draw you in
so that you can hear the words that
He, Himself,
has spoken to us.

"Dear Jesus,
our days have been long,
and the Season has felt heavy.
We need you now
more than ever before.
Will you please lift our hearts
from the weariness
within
and let us see
YOU
as the strength of our days?"

And now may you listen as Jesus calls to you, my friend:

Today is Day 29 for the #Write31Days Challenge!

To say "Thank You" for everyone who has
walked with me on this
#31Days of Listening with Chronic Illness,

Join me tomorrow for a special surprise!

  1. Dear Bettie, these words could have come from my own lips: "I am drained and weary, and longing for rest", because it has been a long season of writing and this woman is sooo tired! This post is just what I needed - soothing, prayerful, quiet and restful. I love your prayer and the song was perfect. Thank you, sweet friend! May you receive all the deep soul refreshment you need, and more besides. Blessings and hugs. xoxo PS: I can see I need to listen to more of Bethel worship music, as well as Pastor Bill Johnson's teaching! :)

    1. Dear Joy, Yes, I have been blessed by Bethel's music and sermons! This has been a long season for us, writing every day, but what an amazing gift God gave to us! He has helped us to keep going throughout it all! He truly is our rest and peace. Thank you for walking along and bringing encouragement! May your weekend be blessed, my friend! xoxo
