Jewels in His Hand

The amethyst blooms
on this Catmint
in my garden
were shining like
beautiful jewels
this morning.

And last night's verse
was made all the more
real for me:

The Lord their God will save his people on that day
as a shepherd saves his flock.
They will sparkle in his land
like jewels in a crown. Zechariah 9:16 NIV

Into a week filled with both weariness and blessings,
and an infusion with side effects,
God brought words to me that carried
HOPE into my heart.

Are you in need of fresh hope?
Do you long to know that someone hears your cries for help?

Jesus hears, and Jesus answers
with words of beauty
spoken for us.

Jewels in His Hand

On the day I cried out for help
On that very day
The Lord sent forth His Strength
Like a Shepherd caring
Like a Savior redeeming
Is my Lord

On the day I crumbled under the load
On that very day
The Lord sent forth His Song
As a Lover wooing
As a King majestic
Is my Lord.

On the day I lay famished in the battle
On that very day
The Lord sent forth His angel
Like a Warrior advancing
Like an army victorious
Is my Lord.

On the day I succumbed to the shame
On that very day
The Lord sent forth His crown
As a Bridegroom adorning
As a Lover preparing
Is my Lord.

He will save
He will sing
He will win
He will clothe
And call me His own

The Name of the Lord
I will wear
The jewel in His hand
I will be

Placing my crown at His feet
This is my Lord

"Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it."  Revelation 2:17

Oh, the love that Jesus has for His children!
Each one, His precious Jewel:

Day 29: What to do When it's Hard to Listen

The weekend is here, and I should be energized!  Instead I am drained and weary, and longing for rest.  Has it been a long week
for you as well?

Then I pray that the words I utter to our Lord
will draw you in
so that you can hear the words that
He, Himself,
has spoken to us.

"Dear Jesus,
our days have been long,
and the Season has felt heavy.
We need you now
more than ever before.
Will you please lift our hearts
from the weariness
within
and let us see
YOU
as the strength of our days?"

And now may you listen as Jesus calls to you, my friend:
